Manager, Inventory Control Wisconsin Operations (Supply Chain)

Opportunity
The Manager, Inventory Control WI Operations reports to the Senior Manager, warehouse Operations and is responsible for Warehouse Management system maintenance, Cycle Counting, inventory discrepancy investigation and inventory excess & obsolescence review within all Kohler Generator Wisconsin Operations.
Working with materials management, shipping, scheduling, production and purchasing, this position will drive inventory accuracy to ensure production lines are in constant supply of material with minimal loss in productivity or inventory.
Specific Responsibilities
- Overall accountability for Inventory Control corporate reporting and driving the quality of SAP inventory transaction alignment to physical inventory movement.

Drives excellence in the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Warehouse Management systems in all sites.

Responsible for driving Cycle Counting to demonstrate Inventory Accuracy without the need for annual Physical Inventories. Must drive team to meet key metrics in this area.

Drives inventory discrepancy investigations to recover inventory and eliminate root causes of any necessary adjustments (i.e. BOM or consumption errors, transactional discipline, etc.).
- Responsible for implementation of review process for inventory excess & obsolescence reduction and to coordinate all non-production inventory transactions (DMR process, etc.).

Develop, communicate, and execute Kohler Power Systems material control improvement initiatives through education and guidance provided to plant level materials managers. Overall effort should result in improved supply flexibility and capacity through the implementation of more lean material practices (JIT, Demand Pull, Kanban, Electronic Commerce) and visual control for both internal and external to Kohler Company.

Contribute sound advice and creative new ideas, concepts and approaches relative to inventory management.

Keep abreast of trends and practices within the Warehouse Management and Inventory Control functions through exchange of information with corporate Technical Services, Power Systems Group, professional and trade associations, and other companies.

Participate in strategic planning for the Warehouse Operations department.

Work to develop individual goals/objectives to support the department goals using the Maximizing Performance Appraisal Process.

Prepare reports, work on special projects, and perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Warehouse Operations.
Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Business Administration or Engineering with a concentration in Supply Chain or Operations Management.
- MBA and continuing education in the field of Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations Management is desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain or Logistics related work experience.
- Strong leadership competencies and negotiation skills required.

Knowledge of SAP and Warehouse Management (bin level control) is strongly preferred.

The salary range for this position is $89,800 - $114,100. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
