We are hiring a full/part-time team member for a Korean restaurant in Chicago, IL. We're looking for talented individuals with strong work ethics to grow within the organization. We are developing a dynamic organization that is seeking to grow Korean cuisine into a widely accessible and distributed in Chicago in a new and exciting way. We're looking for people who are excited about new development and grow within the organization for a long-term success!
We give free meals during select shifts!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high quality food for meals and events that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Contribute to improve/maintain record keeping
- Receiving and processing customer orders
- Ensuring proper execution of deliveries
- Work with the rest of the team to execute catering orders
- Assist the team with pop-up / off-site event duties
- Monitor and inventory food ingredients; document low inventory items
- Ensure food is visually pleasing and served at the proper temperature
- Maintain temperature control of food / food storage areas
- Treat customers with kindness, dignity and respect
- Adhere to proper sanitation and safety guidelines
- Monitor quality / freshness of ingredients
- Offer suggestions for menu planning
- Check-in and stock food deliveries
- Be vocal and contribute to the development of best practices
Requirements:
- Culinary Degree and Sanitation License are a plus, but not required
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, tolerate varying temperatures and stand throughout shift
- Flexibility to work weekday, weekend and holiday hours
- Friendly, outgoing and customer centered personality
- High degree of organization
