Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide guests satisfaction and address any complaints with sincere attention.
- Manage restaurant and bar activities for dinner service and occasional events
- Provide on-going direction, supervision and mentoring to FOH staff.
- Monitor product quality and ensure high level of guest service.
- Ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and profitably.
- Management of events from set-up to tear down, including handling all communication with hourly staff, culinary staff and guests.
- Opening, closing and balancing any and all accounting practices, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience in both fine dining and casual environments in New York City
- 4+ years' experience in the hospitality industry, including positions as a server or bartender in New York City
- 2+ years restaurant management experience
- Ability to motivate and inspire staff to provide excellent customer service
- A good understanding of food and beverage preparation, presentation, and trends
- Sommelier experience a plus
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality or equivalent experience
