We are looking to register and engage students ahead of the 2024 general election. Youth Vote Canvassers will be part of the team that ensures the youth voice is heard in our state.
The Youth Vote Canvasser has:
● Interest in progressive causes and campaigns.
● Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow.
● Strong interpersonal skills.
● Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
● Good judgment, with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
Position Duties:
● Under the direction of the Youth Vote Manager, the Canvasser will be responsible for direct voter contact on their assigned campus.
● Hits daily and weekly goals as part of the field program as directed by the Youth Vote Manager.
● Lifts trends or responses that are heard in the field that relate to the overall program goals.
● Ability to have effective conversations at events, class wraps, doors and site-based canvassing.
● Is flexible and can adapt their communication strategy based on programmatic changes.
● Collects required data during voter registration and doors and reports data at assigned times or when requested by management.
● Reports throughout the day to Youth Vote Manager during site-based voter registration and daily during canvassing.
● Comfortable using the assigned technology and is timely on filling out daily reports.
● Completes assigned duties thoroughly and correctly.
● Participates in trainings as directed by the Youth Vote Manager.
● Participate in launch meetings.

Position Details The Youth Vote Canvasser is a part-time, hourly position. Some weekend and evening hours may be required Physical requirements include frequent standing, canvassing for long periods of time, the ability to sit in meetings, and lift moderate weight for supplies.

Salary This position pays $25/hour
