The Physician Assistant is primarily responsible for providing medical services to patients of Livingston Community Health.
Essential Functions:
- Delivers direct patient care for at least 40 hours during a normal workweek and documents clinical notes.
- Responsible for the demonstration and utilization of the highest standards of medical ethics at all times.
- Participates in clinical policy and procedural development.
- Attends all Staff and Continuous Quality Improvement Meetings.
- Provides Saturday coverage as needed, at least once a month.
- Observe all Livingston Community Health protocols and policies.
- Shares on-call with other clinicians.
- Completes documentation within 24 hours of visit, labs signed day received, and paperwork signed twice per week.
- Other duties as assigned by CMO.
Required Education and Experience:
- Current valid license to practice medicine in California and DEA registration.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician’s Assistant school.
- Working experience in the practice of medicine as a Physician Assistant.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Excellent knowledge of the principles, practice, and techniques in the physician’s specialty.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Is medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct patient contact.
- Broad knowledge base of physical, mental, and social needs of our underserved population.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards, infection control, and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
- Consistently demonstrates safe and accurate technical skills.
- Management and leadership.
- Skilled in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Able to effectively prepare and maintain electronic medical records, write reports, and respond to correspondence.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to work with ethnically diverse populations.
- Ability to apply creative problem-solving skills to the complex issues that arise.
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, staff members, and family caregivers in a pleasant, patient, and professional manner.
- Well organized, dependable, flexible, and resourceful.
- Computer skills required.

Pay: $141,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
