Summary:
Works under the direction of Directors and/or Managers in the Organizational Performance Improvement (OPI) Department; abstracts data from the electronic medical record; submits data to state and national database(s); audits paper and electronic medical records and processes for compliance with internal initiatives and regulatory standards; provides analyses of clinical and programmatic data; recommends and informs process improvements; provides oversight and administration of the occurrence reporting system and analyzes occurrence safety data for trends and opportunities for process improvement(s); provides administrative support for quality improvement committees and projects; performs office management and clerical duties.
Salary range for this position is $61,340-$76,388 which includes a comprehensive benefit package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time data analysis or quality assurance experience; or
2. Associates degree and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time data analysis or quality assurance experience; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of five (5) years of full-time data analysis or quality assurance experience.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have prior data analysis/collection experience, experience transforming data into graphs and chart using Excel and relevant experience in healthcare quality. The preferred candidate will have experience analyzing safety data for trends and opportunities for process improvements and experience supporting committees and administrative meetings.
