Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life. This position offers the opportunity to work with the patient at the patient's home.
Duties:
- Conduct patient assessments to determine their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
- Develop personalized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and sensory processing
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their daily functioning
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and case managers, to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory standards
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience:
- Valid state license or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Home Health experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Job Types: Contract, Per diem
Pay: $100.00 - $120.00 per hour
