Field Service Technician - Aerial Work Platforms (AWP)
Pay Range: $30/hour - $45/hour
Territory: Miami, FL
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:00pm. Lots of available over-time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
Travel to customer sites within a 90-100 mile radius of Miami, FL focusing on the holistic equipment repair and preventative maintenance of Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) such as Boom Lifts, Articulating Booms, Scissor Lifts, Fork Lifts, Truck Lifts, Telehandlers, etc. Some of the aerial manufacturers you will see regularly will be JLG, Genie, SkyTrak,Skyjack, Hyster, Yale, Mec, Bomag, CAT, Snorkel and Niftyliftme. Duties will also involve repairing the hydraulics and electrical on the equipment, repairing bucket lifts, cages, joints, etc.
The aerial equipment will have various diesel and/or electric engines
Pre-Order all engine parts and materials required to perform assigned engine repairs.
Perform engine repairs, preventative maintenance, tier 4 emissions, electrical diagnostics and hydraulics repairs on diesel and electric engines.
Ensure all parts and materials not used are returned
Maintain a clean work area while performing repairs.
Communicate respectfully and honestly with customers
Complete work orders and time sheets in a timely manner
Consult with Service Department personnel to ensure the accuracy and approval of repairs
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or GED
A minimum of two years of diesel engine and electric engine experience.
Deutz engine experience required. Cummins and Perkins engine experience is also acceptable.
Electric engine experience with at least 1 of the following electric engines: Hyster, Yale, Prestolite, Lifan, Abb.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must possess a drivers license and a clean driving record to operate a company service vehicle.
Excellent communication skills
Proficient in using essential computer functions and portable diagnostic tools
Tier 3-4 emissions, as well as NG/CNG experience preferred.
A minimum of two years performing holistic equipment repair of Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) such as Boom Lifts, Articulating Booms, Scissor Lifts, Fork Lifts, Truck Lifts, Telehandlers, etc.
