Seeking a Full-Time Facilities Director for a Local Church in Sumter, SC. This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the coordinated use and maintenance of all church-owned property, buildings, and grounds.
- Responsible for safety systems and compliance authorities.
- Responsible for basic maintenance of church-owned vehicles and equipment.
- Oversee the computerized work order management system and assigns priorities to requests.
- Manage the computerized events calendar. Requires the ability to manage complex systems and schedules.
- Create and modify policies and procedures regarding the operations of the church as needed
- Manages security and alarm systems and is on-call for alarms
- Responsible for the proper opening and closing of the facilities each day
- Some hiring and training duties required
- Coordinating budgets for assigned ministries
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in a commercial environment a plus
- Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with a clear driving record.
- Must reside in Sumter County, SC (on-call position for emergencies)
- Prior experience leading and managing a team of at least three people required
- Must be a self-starter, have great organizational and communication skills
- Must be comfortable working in a Church setting
Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a Valid SC Driver's license with a clear driving record.
