Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with cattle vaccinations, exams, implanting
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and treatments
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by veterinarians
- Record data that is pertinent for producers cattle
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of veterinary equipment and supplies
- Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample collection
- Provide assistance with animal care, including boarded animals
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with cattle handling and safety
- Ability to handle animals safely and effectively restrain them when necessary
- Strong communication skills to interact with producers and veterinary team members
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
