A Day in the Life of an IT Support Specialist
- Provide technical assistance to staff as needed
- Assist in software and hardware upgrades
- Add or update workstations for office staff
- Perform routine PC maintenance and updates for performance efficiency
- Supervise and process help desk support requests
- Assist in maintaining internet service, firewalls, and telephone systems
- Initiate process improvements to better answer user demands
- Prepare data spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and other documents as required
- Order and stock office supplies when necessary
- Other duties as assigned
What We Need
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and organization skills with an attention to details
- Self-starter, with the ability to stay focused on goals and be self-disciplined

- Work with minimal supervision

- Ability to lift 20 pounds on a regular basis
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and/or working on a computer
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Associate Degree or higher
- 1+ years in the field of Information Technology
- Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record; maintain a good driving record in compliance with John Henry’s requirements
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal and driving background checks
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other desktop applications
- Experience preferred but not required
