Position Summary
The Manager Talent Planning will oversee the company’s succession and talent planning processes, and partner closely with the business and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to execute a continuous talent review process that provides insight into the company’s future leaders, creating a strong, diverse pipeline, and ensures successors for critical positions.
Responsibilities

Develop the frameworks, timelines, and resources associated with high potential identification and succession planning.

Acts as a thought partner with HRBPs and HR Directors in the planning and implementation of talent strategies and programs.

Provides insight on succession depth, successor readiness for senior level critical roles, top talent movement and retention, as well as insights on a variety of strategic priorities.

Integrates talent planning outcomes with other talent data (i.e., employee engagement data and movement data) to provide talent analytics and insights.

Support executive-level succession planning and preparation for succession and talent topics for the Senior Management Committee and Board of Directors.

Works closely with key stakeholders to develop a keen understanding of business needs in order to create and implement seamlessly integrated talent solutions.

Responsible for operationalizing and implementing talent projects and programs.

Enables systems and reporting that support the processes owned by the Talent Management COE.

Oversee the company’s 360 leadership feedback program, including the management of outside vendors and tool platforms.

Lead and manage a team of approximately 1-2 full time employees in a highly collaborative, cross-functionally agile organization.

Acts as an ambassador to the company culture, ensuring our programs are driving the behaviors we value as a company. Ensuring all programs implemented have elements that will continually evolve values for inclusivity and a workforce that reflects the diversity of our internal and external customers.
Required/Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

In addition to bachelor's degree, six (6) years minimum of related work experience

In lieu of bachelor's degree, high school diploma/GED AND ten (10) years minimum of related work experience

PHR or SPHR/SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP Certification

Demonstrated effective leadership and supervisory experience

Demonstrated ability to engage and develop employees, providing a vision for the future as well as bring others along. Ability to assess talent.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required to analyze complex issues, develop logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations

Demonstrated experience presenting analyses and recommendations to non-technical audiences

Demonstrated presentation skills and ability to facilitate large/small groups in an effective manner

Experience in creating, delivering, and evaluating programs centered around Diversity and Inclusion

Demonstrated ability in creating internal marketing plans to raise awareness of the function and our initiatives

Experience in a corporate or consulting environment

Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and serve as an effective project lead

Demonstrated ability of effective negotiating skills when dealing with diverse customer expectations

Effective interpersonal skills, e.g. collaboration and active listening skills

Ability to effectively influence at all levels, including executives

Ability to exercise independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices

Working Conditions
-
Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to Duke Energy Plaza.
