Summary
Performs assembly operations and delivery of consoles by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Keep shop floor and tools clean and orderly – ready to show.
- Maintain tools and equipment purchased for company use.
- Observe and enforce all applicable OSHA safety rules and maintain a safe working environment. Keep safety glasses, work gloves and other safety gear ready and available for use.
- Report immediately any accidents or security issues to the Shop Lead or Operations Manager
- Support and foster continual process and product improvement.
- Receives, inspects and processes deliveries in accounting software and stages accordingly.
- Keep inventory clearly labeled and stored in proper areas.
- Pull parts per Project BOM and stage prior to assembly and notify Shop Lead or Operations Manager of any material issues.
- Assemble the product in accordance with BOM and approved production drawings.
- Pack orders in accordance with delivery method guidelines.
- Coordinate outgoing shipment details with Project Manager/Operations Manager
- Perform onsite installations. Requires some travel and overnight stay. (25 – 50 %)
- Document and photograph production/fabrication/installation process for document archival.
- Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists for bid requests.
- Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work; preparing bids; selecting vendors or subcontractors; and determining cost effectiveness.
- Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
- Interfaces with other individuals in the organization to obtain support and commitment to the cost estimates.
- Organizes and manages a centralized cost estimating database and a formal process to support cost estimating to ensure historical data is utilized.
- Provides improvement recommendations to cost estimating procedures to reduce future discrepancies between estimated and actual costs.
- Identifies cost trends to assist management in cost reduction and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English. Language skills in Spanish are an asset.
- Must be apply for and receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential, TWIC card.
- Must be able to pass drug tests and participate in required random programs that are conducted via a third party per client guidelines/regulations.
