Sales Manager Role and Responsibilities
- Direct account sales as well as territories
- Develop existing account volume and acquire new accounts and meet or exceed established goals
- Develop account relationships
- Acquire/maintain up to date account market knowledge
- Gather necessary information to identify opportunities and develop effective action plans/strategies for results
- Sell full line of our products to all categories or trade assigned
- Mentor and coach individual staff members of company, rep groups, and customer sales/service to ensure maximum productivity and growth of the company
- Execute effective administration and communication with peers, customers, and supervisors
- Hire, train, and manage independent sales brokers where applicable
- Assist in the development of aggressive targets
- Prepare a detailed budget/forecast each year
- Maintain an awareness of the impact of the region’s activities on profit and loss, conserve capital and manage expenses diligently
- Provide thorough and consistent reporting of information through appropriate chain of command on a timely basis
- Maintain a track record of success and growth in a business-to-business environment
- Maintain a high visibility if the marketplace and working knowledge of the business community
- Demonstrate strong sales aptitude and good decision make skills
- Demonstrate good verbal, communication, and organizational skills
Sales Manager Qualifications and Education Requirements
· Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
· Required: 3 + years to retail and wholesale accounts
· Preferred: Outside sales experience in paint, chemicals, and/or charcoal industries
· Preferred: Experience hiring, training, and managing independent sales brokers

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
