Cypress Village is recruiting for a hospitality focused Kitchen Manager to join our team! This position is responsible for full-scope, hands on production cooking in the Community Culinary Services Department. Is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality service and cleanliness at all times.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Kitchen Manager:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to plan and implement daily and weekly meal schedules.
- Ensure that all kitchen activities align with the facility's policies and standards.
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking as needed, particularly during busy periods or special events.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health codes and safety standards.
- Ensure that resident satisfaction with meals is consistently high.
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen budget, including cost control, labor management, and waste reduction.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a kitchen management role, preferably in an assisted living or similar healthcare setting.
