FULL / PART TIME POSITION (2 - 3 / 12's per week) 6:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must be licensed as Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with privilege to practice in Montana. Nursing experience in the field of chemical dependency and/or behavioral healthcare is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Provide appropriate care of adult age groups. Assess and interpret data about patient status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs. Assess and resolve crisis situations in the event they arise. Charting and record keeping abilities. Take informational calls and provide professional accurate information to callers. Work closely with staff and patient to provide a satisfactory, productive treatment experience for RMTC clientele. Delegate responsibility appropriately and demonstrate supervisory skills. Must complete required continuing education per calendar year. Working knowledge of ASAM criteria.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform an accurate and thorough nursing assessment on new admissions. Formulate a clear nursing diagnosis and initiate a treatment plan for each patient based upon regulatory requirements and ASAM criteria. Perform on-going patient assessment to detect change in the patient’s condition and make additions/changes to treatment plan to incorporate changes in patient condition. Perform accurate assessments on patients undergoing the detoxification process and notify physician as appropriate. Administer medication and treatments according to physician’s orders without errors. Complete state required narcotics count at the end of every shift and complete appropriate documentation. Assist Pharmacist with required chart reviews and drug disposal. Perform necessary filing and charting including completing admission, interim and progress notes and complete reports and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Supervise Treatment Assistant staff during assigned shift. Assist in State and Process Improvement review process as directed by Nursing Supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY: Perform above assigned duties professionally and responsibly. Provide optimum patient care.
