Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take intra/extra oral photos and digital dental x-rays
- Conduct oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for home care
- Administer local anesthesia, nitrous oxide as needed and Laser Therapy
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies
Requirements:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health systems, and dental terminology
- Proficiency in clinical documentation, including maintaining accurate patient records
- Experience working with soft tissue diode Laser is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Dentrix and Dexis a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity
