Job Summary:
The Registration Receptionist performs all duties associated with the efficient registration of patients under minimal supervision. Additional responsibilities include answering the Center's main phone line and routing incoming calls.
Key Responsibilities:

Performs pre-registration duties by verifying demographic information received from scheduling. Performs on-line verification when appropriate. Obtains deductible, co-insurance, co-pay and out-of-pocket amounts.

Reviews demographic and insurance information with patients. Obtains appropriate consent and signatures on required forms. Labels forms using established policy and procedure.

Explains financial responsibilities to patients. Accepts payments from patients and following corresponding procedure for payment collection.

Acts as a liaison between clinical units and lobby waiting room.
Minimum knowledge, skill and abilities:

Minimum of two years related registration/receptionist preferably in a health care setting.

Ability to work independently and to organize and prioritize work efficiently to achieve the Center's goals.

Ability to operate computer, various software packages, copy machine, fax machine and other office machines.
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Day Time Shift, must be able to work as early as 5 AM.
