JOB TITLE: Events Sales Manager

SUMMARY:
Pacific Park is seeking an Events Sales Manager that thrives in a sales-focused environment with a focus on results. Position requires a self-starter with strong organizational and customer service skills.
PACIFIC PARK OVERVIEW:
Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier is LA’s only admission-free amusement park that offers 12 amusement rides, 14 midway games, an oceanfront food plaza and dynamic retail experiences. The ever-popular Park and iconic Pier enjoy more than 8.5 million visitors annually. In addition to the Pacific Wheel, the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel, Pacific Park’s signature rides include The West Coaster, a steel roller coaster that races 55 feet above the Santa Monica Bay. The Park is operated by more than 500 team members, which includes full-time and seasonal positions featuring a highly diverse, dynamic, and passionate team.
REPORTING:
This position reports directly to the General Manager. The position will most likely report to a Park director after 6 months of onboarding.

- Can promote and sell the Park to potential leads.
- Can cold call and prospect new leads.

- Can effectively present information to others, from line employees to top management.

- Can interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule forms.
- Can interact with potential clients and promote the Park’s offerings aggressively and strategically.
- Can recognize guest issues and proactively assist or seek assistance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for proactively seeking, selling, generating, and securing events and leads.
- Will negotiate pricing, contracts, and parameters for all events within Pacific Park.
- Design and sell new private event related programs/products for the Park and Sunset Lounge to attract new segments of parties such as weddings, birthdays and team-building outings,
- Develop successful working relationships with the goal of increasing total Park EBITA.
- Working the Director of Brand to generate leads through creative paid and nonpaid media outreach.
- Develop cold call lists and initiate proactive sales outreach to those leads on a weekly basis.
- Develop/buy lists of potential customers through the use and management of CRM.
- Responsible for meeting and exceeding event sales goals and filming/location sales goals.
- Attend industry trade shows, mixers, and conferences to sell/promote Pacific Park.
- Provide and ensure excellent customer service for all clients and guests.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with major clients/partners.
- · Assist in the execution of event management strategy that is aligned with the company’s business model.
- Ensure a safe working environment; inspect and correct work areas on a regular basis; report all workplace injuries and concerns immediately.
- Provide effective feedback on individual performance, celebrate success and highlight areas for development.
- Ability to recognize problems and to creatively and immediately find solutions.
- All other duties as assigned and needed.
- All duties and responsibilities must be performed according to Pacific Park policies and procedures.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position requires light travel, sitting, standing, lifting, and walking with occasional stooping, reaching, kneeling, and crouching/squatting.
LOCATION AND WORK ENVIORMENT:
- This position is located on the Santa Monica Pier.
- Year-round weekend and holiday work is required
- This is a full-time position and not available for remote or work from home
