Staff Engineer/Geologist, Geotechnical Consulting Firm. Part-Time and Full-Time Positions Available
The hiring company is an established geotechnical and environmental consulting firm in southern California with 40 years of ongoing operation, and 15,000 completed projects in California.
Candidates are required to have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and/or geology, and a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a geotechnical engineering consulting or related firm.
Typical work assignments will include field geotechnical sampling and logging, field percolation testing, compaction testing, soil gas well installation and testing, city research of grading files, and laboratory testing of samples.
Other tasks may include field observations during construction phase, for foundations, bottoms, shoring, pile drilling, and engineering/geology support work, depending on qualifications and experience.
Work will be performed under the discretion and supervision of a licensed geotechnical engineer and engineering geologist.
EIT/GIT and/or inspector licenses encouraged.
Candidates should have a clean driving record, use of personal vehicle to drive to jobsites (mileage paid by company), and ability to routinely handle up to 50 lbs. of equipment.
Position will involve hybrid of office, field, and work from home capability.
Pay Range: $30/hour to $34/hour depending on experience.
