The Director of Staff Development and training works cooperatively with leadership in planning programs to identify and meet training needs and regulatory requirements. Maintain e-learning platform along with tracking and trending data related to e-learning. Will evaluate and develop programs and processes for clinical education, onboarding training, and professional development.
Along with the Executive Director and Director of Nurses, the Director of Staff Development assures clinical quality distinction at the centers throughout the areas served. Will assist in onboarding and ongoing training programs for clinical education, and all other clinical positions.

Opportunity Includes:
- A good knowledge and background in geriatric health care, including sanitation, safety, and personnel administration.
- A thorough knowledge of governmental licensor regulations as they apply to long-term care facilities and continuing care retirement communities.
- Coordinate site approval and clinical rotation for nursing students (ie, schedule for students, develop an ongoing relationship with local University), where applicable.
- Able to prioritize projects and deal with long and irregular hours with many interruptions.
- Skills to assist in the development of innovative clinical programs
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Must hold and maintain a current CPR certification
- Experience in long term healthcare preferred
- Minimum one (1) year experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs in the field of nursing, preferred
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Nurse
- Licensed Practical Nurse
Education:
- Master's Degree from an accredited college in nursing preferred.
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited college in nursing preferred.
Experience:
- Pertinent work experience.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Infection Prevention Certification preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including email; ability to learn company software systems
- Knowledge of state, federal and licensing regulations
