Description:
SUMMARY:
Contributes to main functions of shipping department including receipt, fulfillment, storage, packing, transfer, and routing of new and used equipment. Responsible for training and enforcement of best practices for safety, cost control, and loss prevention at Burbank warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Coordinate and execute fulfillment activities including verification of outgoing orders, picking, packing, and shipping

Coordinate and execute receiving activities including verification of incoming purchase orders, verification and testing of customer returns, customer service/stock case shipments, and transfer orders

Responsible for maintaining inventory organization and accuracy including following operational procedures for order discrepancies, tagging inventory, conducting regular cycle counts, and periodic physical inventories

Follow and enforce department safety procedures and compliance including but not limited to operating Crown WAV Order Picker within safety guidelines

Manages local coordination, packing, and crating for all LTL and freight shipments

Follow and enforce procedures and guidelines for international and hazardous material shipping compliance

Manage warehouse area maintenance and cleanliness
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 1-3 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding
and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems and Spreadsheet software.
