JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for the technical support, productivity, and continuous improvement for the commissioning, monitoring, diagnosis, maintenance, repair, and retrofit of transmission and distribution equipment, especially large and specialized service projects..
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as technical support and Continuous Improvement Specialist for OpEx within the Field Services Division.
- Assist in implementing work schemes (according to each process) based on the fundamentals of CTX (Xignux Work Culture) to achieve and maintain optimal levels of service operation.
- High focus on the implementation of continuous improvement avoiding Wastes such as Overproduction, Reworks, Waits, Overprocessing, Transport, Motion, and excess of Inventory in service operations.
- May lead capital expenditure-projects to ensure compliance with productivity benefits, maintenance of equipment and compliance with standards as well as risk mitigation.
- Leads technical and field support operations during project execution (specialized problem solving and failure analysis evaluations).
- Support a culture of continuous improvement; utilizing standardization, Lean techniques, and employee teams by analyzing opportunities form customer satisfaction survey – with the proper follow up with customers.
- Translate the Voice of the Customer into measurable characteristics.
- Support maintaining the foundation for Standard Work and procedures within Field Service Business Processes.
- Provide updates on project objectives, performance measures, issues and risks to Senior Level Staff.
- Investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints; analyzing processes and procedures within Field Service Operations to identify areas of opportunity; suggesting and implementing necessary changes for sustainable improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance performance and Customer Satisfaction.
- Leads operational process and procedure development to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Perform the project management of assigned project activity.
- Sourcing of engineering design requirements.
- Supports special reports and drawing modifications.
- Perform technical training for customers and technicians.
- Assist marketing/sales in development of the technical work scope for project quotations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Position requires knowledge of electric utility systems, especially the design and operation of the associated equipment such as Transformers & LTC, HV Switchgear, LV Switchgear, or Relay & Control Systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
- Understanding of MRP system.
- Must be self-motivated and possess strong influencing, organization, and communication skills along with a keen sense of business with respect to sales, revenue, and OP targets.
- Excellent team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Effective communication skills, including verbal (logical and organized), written, and listening.
- Train, mentor, and guide team members and technicians in new processes and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 1-2 years of utility work or
- 5-7 years’ experience in industrial and/or utility power delivery systems focusing on quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts.

Works with other departments (Operations, Sales Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Planning, Quality, Service and Components). Work with outside sales representatives.

Shop-floor and office environment, located at manufacturing facility/remote and visiting project sites.
