Job Summary:
As a key member of the Accounting and Finance department, this position will report directly to the CFO and will play a crucial role in overseeing the Accounting team. The Controller will be responsible for the management, improvement, and safeguarding of the company’s financial information.
This role will guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing both internal and external policies and procedures. The Controller will manage and develop the accounting team, drive the monthly close process/analysis, develop annual budgets and forecasts, ensure tax compliance (both domestic and international), oversee fixed assets, complete cost analysis (material, labor, overhead, etc.), conduct internal and manage external audits, assess current processes/procedures and update the executive team on current gaps, best practices and opportunities for improvement.
Hybrid role with on-site expectations of three (3) plus days per week.
Duties:
- Work with CFO to set objectives and strategies for the accounting department.
- Provide oversight of the accounting team while creating an environment of trust and productivity.
- Support decision-making by providing stakeholders with meaningful information that is timely, detailed and accurate.
- Manage and monitor all monthly close items, ensuring timely completion and compliance with appropriate GAAP standards, regulatory and business requirements.
- Maximize the efficiency of shared service functions (accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, and payroll) to effectively manage working capital.
- Generate financial forecasts and annual budgets.
- Validate fixed assets are recorded accurately and timely.
- Ensure product and job costings are accurate and customer pricing is updated appropriately.
- Ensure domestic and international tax filings are completed timely and are compliant.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and guidelines.
- Perform ad hoc analysis where required to assist in management decision making.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, including 5+ years of managerial experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
- Previous responsibility for technical financial reporting oversight, including knowledge of GAAP, regulatory accounting, and reporting requirements is required.
- Thorough understanding of working capital, cost accounting and variance analysis.
- Strong background in developing and implementing processes, procedures and operational controls.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal and team-building capabilities to effectively interface and communicate across the organization.
- Strong computer skills including ERP, reporting systems, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products – Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
