Retail First Key Holder/Merchandiser Job Description:

We are looking for a self-driven and results-oriented Retail Sales Associate/Key Holder/Merchandiser passionate about customer service, merchandising and coaching team members to achieve their goals in a fast-paced environment.
Job Summary
This is a full-time day shift position, Monday- Friday with rotating Saturdays required. Responsible for opening and closing the store. Perform administrative duties, process sales transactions, and keep the store neat, organized and visually appealing to customers. The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic, adaptable, hard-working, and possess a “can-do” attitude.
Primary Responsibilities
- Arrive early to open and prepare the store for customers or leave late to close the store.
- Manage the store’s security cameras and alarm systems; set and disarm the alarm.
- Assist with customer service and handle customer complaints and concerns.
- Train new employees and act as cashier as needed.
- Merchandise endcaps and displays daily/weekly and reset shelves/sections in store as needed.
- Look out for issues with working conditions and approach management to resolve them.
- Maintain the store’s visual appearance and ensure it stays neat and organized.
- Cover for the manager when they are absent and answer customer calls and emails.
- Restock shelves and merchandise.
- Collaborate with the manager to oversee Donation Intake production and set prices that are good for the market and store goals
- Assist manager in setting employee schedules
- Filling in for the store manager when required
- Monitoring sales and identifying any losses or stock wastage
- Getting to know the customer base and understanding their motivation and sales drivers
- Reviewing customer feedback to predict sales trends and seasonal stock demand
- Briefing staff on stock display and rotation to ensure every space is optimized
- Making predictions based on sales data, customer feedback and market trends
- Assessing the effectiveness of different product displays and store layouts on sales figures
- Reviewing competitors, including pricing, profit, marketing and other progress
Job Qualifications:
- Retail experience as a key holder/merchandise/donation clerk preferred.
- Retail merchandising experience required.
- Previous Donation processing and pricing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of brand names and retail pricing preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods of time.
- Solid decision-making ability.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Punctual and willing/able to work required shifts consistently.
- Able to deal with the public in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Must be able to work weekdays and rotating Saturdays.
- Must be 18 with a high school diploma or GED to apply.
- Capable of performing all job functions, including customer service, sorting donations, lifting bags/boxes, reading pricing guides, working with a simple computer pricing system, and performing cleaning duties at the workstation.
