The Middle School Grade Level Leader Teacher plays a crucial role in the academic and socio-emotional development of students within a specific grade level. This position combines instructional responsibilities with leadership duties to support the overall success of students, teachers, and the school community.
Responsibilities:
- Instructional Leadership:
- Deliver high-quality instruction in one or more subject areas to students within the designated grade level, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with department heads, curriculum coordinators, and instructional coaches to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
- Model exemplary teaching practices and provide support and guidance to colleagues to enhance instructional effectiveness and student engagement.
- Grade Level Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact and advocate for students within the designated grade level, addressing academic, behavioral, and socio-emotional concerns.
- Facilitate grade-level team meetings to discuss student progress, instructional planning, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Coordinate assessments, data analysis, and progress monitoring to identify areas for improvement and inform instructional decision-making through PLC meetings.
- Professional Development:
- Lead professional development sessions and workshops for grade-level teachers focused on instructional strategies, assessment techniques, and student support strategies.
- Provide personalized coaching and mentoring to support the professional growth and development of teachers within the grade level.
- Stay abreast of current trends, research, and best practices in education and share relevant information with colleagues.
- Parent and Community Engagement:
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians through newsletters, meetings, and conferences to keep them informed about student progress and school initiatives.
- Collaborate with parents/guardians and community stakeholders to promote family engagement and involvement in the educational process.
- Address parent/guardian concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering positive relationships and partnerships.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide policies, procedures, and initiatives to promote a positive school culture and enhance student success.
- Collaborate with the school principal and support staff to address disciplinary issues, attendance concerns, and other administrative matters as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic performance, and behavioral incidents, ensuring compliance with school and district policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- State certification or licensure as a middle school teacher.
- Demonstrated success in teaching middle school students in one or more subject areas.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Experience in curriculum development, assessment design, and data analysis.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school culture that prioritizes student success and well-being.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
