As a Training & Retention Coordinator you will be responsible for the following:
- Coordinates and facilitates new associate orientations/training.
- Facilitates pre-employment screening, including: processing background checks, finalizing references, etc.
- Ensures compliance by monitoring employee files, critical due dates, etc.
- Maintains personnel information; including but not limited to: processing new hires, separations, and other transactions.
- Communicates policies and procedures to associates and others upon request, or as necessary. Managing our coaching/disciplinary process.
- Participates in developing creative ideas for attracting qualified, diverse candidates through effective job announcements, job fairs, identified recruiting sources, and other approaches. Back up to our recruitment coordinator.
- Leads our retention efforts for the caregiving team.
- Coordinate with all staff members to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
The successful candidate for this position will have:
- Previous experience working in an office setting, preferably in the health care sector.
- Experience as a Caregiver or CNA is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills – positive and supportive.
- Strong organization skills – Multi-task and prioritize.
- Effective time management.
- Detail oriented - communication and documentation of interactions with applicants and employees.
- Intermediate computer skills -- use of technology solutions for all aspects of role.
- Innovative and creative – finding solutions and resolving challenges – thinking ‘outside the box'.
