Responsibilities and Duties
As a Fire Inspector, some of your specific duties in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Assist Lead Inspector with Inspecting systems per NFPA standards while maintaining high standards of quality
- Ability to assist lead inspector to troubleshoot, and overcome issues that arise during inspections
- Creating accurate and detailed paperwork relating to the work performed
- Keeping up with local and national codes
- Achieving company inspection performance goals
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and coworkers
- Keeping abreast of any technological developments impacting the industry by continued education.
Qualifications and Skills
Specific qualifications for the role include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate in a Windows environment
- Valid driver’s license and clear driving record
- Ability to obtain state licensing and pass background check
- Ability to lift 50lbs several times daily, navigate ladders and scaffolding, and work in confined space
- Previous experience in low voltage or construction a plus but not required.
