The Director, FP&A will provide direct financial and decision support to the Head of a Business Unit, including financial analysis of revenues, operations, productivity, and costs with a focus on providing direction and identifying opportunities to drive the profitability. In addition to supporting a BU this role will also oversee the Corporate FP&A function and support both internal and external customers.
The position will report to Senior Director, FP&A. The FP&A department acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision making. As a member of the FP&A team at a fast-growing public company, you will also be involved in other aspects of finance department activities as time permits.
Responsibilities:

Strategic finance leader supporting a Business Unit Head and CFO in corporate FP&A activities

Build relationships with BU leadership team and subject-matter-experts to become a trusted finance partner to assist in accurate forecasting, strategic analysis, and ad-hoc analysis/reporting

Provide BU leadership team with insights into drivers of revenue, costs, profitability, risk & opportunities for the business

Drive and cultivate financial discipline and accountability to ensure delivery against financial targets

Create BOD, Investor and Earnings Call documents to support internal and external customers with financial communications

Lead corporate planning process of periodic forecasts, annual plans and long range plans for the company

Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements, operating forecasts, etc.

Conduct variance analysis, outlining cause of change versus budget, forecast, and prior year

Constantly drive process improvements and efficiencies in areas of financial planning, financial analysis, and production of reporting packages
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
-
CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
-
12+ years’ experience with broad breadth of direct exposure to multiple areas of finance, accounting, and business operations; 2+ years’ in a Director level role preferred

Prior team/people leadership experience required

Experience in supporting both a Business Unit and Corporate FP&A is ideal

Experience working in a matrixed, entrepreneurial, global environment

Experience in working directly and closely with Senior Management

Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized

Strong attention to detail with the ability to slice and dice in multiple ways and levels

Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable working with large datasets and is well versed in methods for analysis of disparate data

Ability to manage multiple project timelines

Strong work ethic and ability and willingness to pivot on activities as new requests and priorities surface

Hands-on experience in a financial planning and analytics tool (Adaptive Insights preferred)

Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Preferred Skills:

Experience with full P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow preferred

"Big 4" work experience - Must be able to work well under pressure in fast paced environment

Experience working with Revenue & COGS modeling

Experience working with ERP Systems - NetSuite or Adaptive
