POSITION: Director, Clinical and Surgical Services

REPORTS TO: Integrator
JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Clinical and Surgical Services is responsible for the oversight of the clinic, ASC, and all operations within the organization. This position will be responsible as the business owner and will work ON the business, while the Office Manager works IN the business.
The Director of Clinical and Surgical Services is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and will work closely with other members from Ownership, Integrator, Physicians, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
· Five plus years of medical practice management experience, strong preference in an eyecare practice ASCs and multiple clinical locations
· Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or similar growth framework experience preferred
· Working knowledge of Nextech, MDI, and EOS a plus

- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, with preference for Google Mail and Document sharing
- Understand medical billing, QB financials, and Nextech and MDI (medical software)
Responsibilities
· Lead, Manage, and hold Accountable (LMA) Office Manager and ASC Administrator
· Attend weekly senior leadership L10 meetings
· Conduct location weekly L10 meetings
· Oversight of P&L
o Manage Income and Expenses
o Forecasting and Budgeting
· Oversight of LASIK process
· Oversight of Fellowship Program
· Oversight of Residency Program
· Oversight of FDA research and studies
· Manages durable goods
· Functions as Nextech/medical software Superuser
· Provides support to Newsom Eye Ambassador program
- Addresses doctor relations/concerns
- Ensures process and procedures are followed and updated
- Monitor location metrics/scorecard
- Optimize scheduling
- Drive appointment volume
- Implement necessary changes needed
- Foster relationship with co-managed doctors
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy of billing in clinic and ASC
- Oversight/Utilization of payroll cost for location
- Ensure patient/staff satisfaction
- Ensure physician productivity goals are met
- Implement/Manage/Evaluate all systems
- Manage resources for doctor absences
- Alternate Coverage
- Re-scheduling of patients with different provider
- Understand, implement and follow new accounting structure
- Assists with budget development
- PO Approval
- Ensure key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the team.
- Verifies that a high level of effective communication exists throughout the location
- Participates in physician/staff interviews
- Ensures compliance and readiness of AAAHC and other regulatory bodies
- Ensures oversight of facilities and equipment
- Fill in for OM as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
