Pay Rate: 16.20 hourly
Job Summary: Securatex Security is seeking a reliable and professional 1st Shift Weekend Resident Security Officer to join our team in the downtown Loop area. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the safety and security of residents while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be experienced in security operations, have strong communication skills, and be able to handle various tasks such as package management, answering phones, announcing deliveries, making rounds, and handling emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the premises.

Handle packages and deliveries, including receiving, storing, and notifying residents of their arrivals.

Answer phones, take messages, and provide information to residents and visitors.

Announce deliveries and visitors to tenants, ensuring proper identification and authorization.

Conduct regular patrols and security rounds of the building and surrounding areas to ensure safety and security.

Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies, alarms, and incidents, providing assistance and coordinating with local authorities if necessary.

Maintain accurate and detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and security concerns.

Assist residents with their inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

Enforce building rules and regulations to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience in a security role, preferably in a residential setting.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.

Basic computer skills for report writing and communication.

Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Friendly, customer service-oriented attitude.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.

Ability to lift and carry packages and other items up to 25 pounds.

Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and incidents.

Current Active PERC card.
