The Senior Cloud Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring the secure, compliant, and efficient utilization of cloud services within the organization. This position involves designing and implementing cloud governance guidelines, safeguarding sensitive data, and ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Senior ITS Compliance Manager.
- Ensures the secure, compliant, and efficient use of cloud services.
- Designs, implements, and enforces cloud governance guidelines, standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure close collaboration with the cybersecurity team in sharing compliance-related issues and in the mitigation of findings.
- Safeguards sensitive data and ensures adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Establishes and implements guidelines for access controls, data protection, and identity and access management.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define and develop cloud governance guidelines and standards aligned with the organization’s policies, security, and compliance objectives.
- Monitors and drives remediation activities to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to cloud security and data privacy.
- Conducts risk assessments to identify and address potential security weaknesses.
- Educates employees and stakeholders regarding cloud security best practices, compliance requirements, and potential risks.
- Maintains comprehensive documentation of cloud security controls, compliance assessments, and incident response procedures.
- Generates regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and compliance metrics.
- Ability to stay current with emerging cloud security trends, compliance, and technologies.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in cloud security or cloud security compliance.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams, technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
- In-depth understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and standards, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR.
- Familiarity with major cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Detail-oriented approach, especially in compliance and auditing tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Technical skills in implementing security solutions in cloud environments.
- Adaptability to new technologies and changing security landscapes.
- Commitment to continuous learning in cloud security and compliance.
· Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology Compliance, or a related field.
·Advanced certifications like CISSP-ISSMP (Information Systems Security Management Professional), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), or cloud-specific certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
· Experience with advanced security technologies and tools, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and advanced threat protection.
· Familiarity with programming or scripting languages relevant to cloud security automation and orchestration.
· Prior experience leading a team or managing complex security projects.
· Ten years of experience in cloud security or cloud security compliance is desired
· Experience in highly regulated industries like finance, healthcare, or government.
- Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et. Al. and Client’s Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
- Must obtain the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) training certification within thirty (30) days from the date of employment.
- Must take Cyber awareness training within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
