Summary:
Ensures and delivers high quality patient centered care. Coordinate all functions of clinical services for all Maeville locations. Facilitates communication between members of healthcare team, patient and providers to enhance the quality of care provided to all patients. Responsible for all clinical staff with the expectation of filling in when/if needed. Manage proper inventory controls of drugs, supplies and equipment. Oversight of clinic revenue driven services. Strong controls to successful manage nurse triage, risk management, quality assurances and healthcare compliance. It is critical that this role develops and maintains good relationships with practice employees, managers, providers and vendors.
Essential Duties:
▪ Effectively manage and evaluate all aspects of the clinical patient care process
▪ Set objectives and long term goals for the clinic department
▪ Maintain clinical staff work schedule and attendance. Always ensures coverage for clinic operations for all locations
▪ Participates in the development of nursing policies and instructional materials.
▪ Perform daily walkthrough to assess the condition of the clinic environment to ensure all clinical staff is functioning at a high level.
▪ Coordinates all activities in the clinical environment for the practice
▪ Redistribution of staff workload in case of scheduled/unscheduled absences
▪ Maintain inventory for all supplies to include drugs for clinics.
▪ Collaborate with Practice Administrator and Chief Medical Officer to manage clinic operations efficiently and cost-effective manner, ensuring continuity of service
▪ Ensure all physician orders are processed accurately and timely.
▪ Perform document management and reviews to monitor proper document completeness
▪ Assists in resolving clinical challenges and patient concerns
▪ Ensures daily opening and close of clinic for all Maeville locations
▪ Oversee compliance, training and maintaining applicable license and certifications for clinical staff
▪ Serve as clinical onsite point of contact for providers, Administration and clinical staff
▪ Functions as custodian of medical records
▪ Utilization of practice management software and business intelligence tool
▪ Make effective hiring and termination recommendations
▪ Ability to develop, manage relationships and work cross-functional with other teams within the organization and revenue cycle as well as work with all departments to build and drive organizational strategies and growth
▪ Must stay current on regulatory guidelines and clinical best practices
▪ Perform other office duties as assigned by Practice Administrator & Chief Medical Officer
Required Qualifications:
- 100% onsite
- 2 year Associates Degree
- 2-3 years of Clinical Pediatric experience is required
- Valid LVN license in Texas
- Valid CPR certification
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in pediatric setting clinic
- 3-5 years EPIC EHR experience
- Available to cover Saturday clinic when required
- Deep understanding of electronic medical records documentation
- Required to travel between Fannin and Pearland clinics during the week
- Critical thinking, decision making, relationship building and problem solving
- Excellent clinical development skills to develop and implement patient care policies
- Microsoft Office Suite skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of revenue cycle operations
