What is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / ABA Behavior Therapist?:
The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) certification is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of an RBT Supervisor and/or RBT Requirements Coordinator who is responsible for their work.
As a Qualified Autism Service Paraprofessional, you will be responsible for the independent Direct Intervention of a treatment plan, developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, with our clients and their families in their homes and communities. You will receive weekly oversight and training from your treatment team supervisors.
You will:

Work with a family on a predetermined weekly schedule agreed to by you, the family, and the BCBA.

Work with 1 to 4 clients each week

Work from 2 to 30 hours per week

Work individually with clients in their homes, community settings, and sometimes school settings
-
Use evidence-based ABA strategies, such as NET, DTT, TA, NI, PRT, FCT and more, to support clients with behavioral challenges significantly impacting their daily lives, including
-
Teaching missing skills and appropriate alternative behaviors
-
Implementing behavior reduction plans based on positive reinforcement
-
Support parent/caregiver/stakeholder training
-
Support the client and family in transferring learned skills into all of their natural environments
-
Record data and take notes
-
Complete billing for each treatment appointment in accordance with the requirements of the insurance companies
Who are our clients?:
Our clients are people of all ages, but primarily children, adolescents, and young adults who typically have a diagnosis of autism or another behavioral health condition.

Qualifications You’ll Need:
- A high school diploma/transcripts
- Be at least 18 years of age

Eligible to work in the US

Ability to pass a background check

Must live in the general posted area and be available for in-person services

Must have reliable transportation between client homes

Strong verbal and written communication, time management and organization skills, problem-solving

Completion of all trainings/documents per state or funding source requirements

RBTs require an RBT certificate from the BACB
