THE OPPORTUNITY
The Intern – Applications Engineer will be expected to help define and test new products and features, assist customers and the sales team with their technical support requests, perform technical analysis and systems integration duties, and engineer complete solutions to complex problems. This role works closely with internal engineering teams and provides in-person support with up to 25% domestic and international travel.
This internship position is full-time, on-site daily Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies' HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, test, and evaluate technical solutions and new products/features.
- Provide comprehensive support to customers and the sales team, including troubleshooting, system integration, product recommendations, and technical analysis.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams for in-house or field testing, validation, and enhancing existing features.
- Assist Sales Engineering with demos, training, testing, and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain customer-facing documentation and content.
- Guide RMA and Loaner teams with equipment recommendations and customer request vetting.
- Travel up to 25% for in-person support, including demos, troubleshooting, and training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- In-progress bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or other related technical fields.
- Ability to lift, up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Indoor air-conditioned facility.
- Some outdoor fieldwork.
- Lift equipment for setup of demos and testing.
- Walking/Moving in the lab.
