St. Paul College Club, situated on historic Summit Avenue adjacent to the Governors' Mansion. We specialize in hosting weddings, parties, and various events, and we are currently seeking a talented Banquet Chef to enhance our culinary offerings.
This ideal candidate will have experience in catering and kitchen management, as well as a creative who is passionate about food quality and the guest experience.
The responsibilities for this position include managing the kitchen staff; (scheduling, hiring, on-boarding, and training) they will also do all of the ordering of food and supplies for upcoming events and prep food for upcoming events. This position is responsible for reporting food costs to the general manager. They will be responsible for attending sheet meetings and communication with the events director. This candidate will also work with the events director on menu creation and design and pricing.
This position is responsible for kitchen cleanliness and order, and also making sure that kitchen staff has what they need for each event.
This position is a management position that will work closely with our lead banquet chef to make sure all events are well prepped, staffed, and ready for success. This candidate will be able to work weekend event as needed, and fill in when needed. They will work with the lead banquet chef on a schedule that is conducive to balance and flexibility.
This position is will have flexible hours during the week depending on the calendar of events to order, prep and cook for the week’s events. They will work with lead banquet chef on a schedule for each week.
The typical suggested weekly schedule during the peak season (May to October) would be to work Sunday events and work Monday through Thursday prepping, ordering and scheduling. They would also work one event per weekend or one weekend per month, working with the current banquet chef on this schedule.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a 'from scratch' kitchen (preferred)

- Availability to work weekends and occasional weeknights
