Zimmerman Associates, Inc. (ZAI) is seeking to hire a Library Technician in the Washington, D.C. area.

Duties:
- Open the Library facilities and the Data Zone, this includes turning on equipment, reporting mal-functioning equipment to the staff, and other related tasks.
- Turn off equipment and clear reading areas, tabletops, and counters at the end of each day.
- Sort and distribute all incoming mails.
- Check-in and receive items in Alma. Send new items to the metadata librarian for cataloging.
- Apply date/property stamps and attach security strips and barcode labels to items.
- Discard periodicals and serials on an ongoing basis according to established retention criteria.
- Shelve items according to the Library of Congress (LC) classification and local holding records.
