New car dealership in Corvallis is searching for an experienced parts manager. The ideal candidate will strive to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. Accomplishes objectives through the use of proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying and advertising.
Responsibilities:
- Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this position
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
- Ensures that all parts are properly tagged so that the dealership recovers full credit from the factory.
- Supervises stock order procedures.
- Order, receive, and bill all parts
- Holds weekly department meetings.
- Maintain proper storage of parts
- Take inventory
- Stock shelves
- Assist retail customers, wholesale accounts and technicians
- Assist with parts inventory management through bin counts and record keeping
- Coordinates a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork.
- Develops and utilizes a lost sales tracking report.
- Develops, enforces and monitors guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a superior level of customer service
- Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines.
- Ensures that all dealership purchases are properly accounted for before payment is made.
- Assists in the collection of past-due accounts.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a customer-oriented, self-motivated team player
- Prior dealership parts experience-brand specific
- Computer proficient
- Valid Driver’s License and clean, insurable, driving record
- Pre-employment background check, including drug screening
