Our client, an innovative and growing AV Solutions Provider, has an immediate opening for a Project Engineer to expand their Project Engineering team with a responsible, customer-focused, results-driven individual.
Job Summary:
The Project Engineer will need excellent communication and customer service skills combined with a technically sound understanding of some of the following: Cisco, Poly, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and other AV/VTC/UCC products.
This role is responsible for supporting projects from receipt of order through client acceptance.
Responsibilities include reviewing projects to ensure the proposed solution meets the technical requirements to deliver on design intent, releasing equipment for order, working alongside CAD resources to create and maintain infrastructure and installation signal flow drawings, supporting project change orders, and responding to installation and configuration questions as they arise. This is a hybrid role, requiring in-person reporting, 3 days a week, to the Beaverton, OR office.
Key Responsibilities

Review and refine the detailed material list and account for all job costs associated with assigned projects.

Create or coordinate with CAD resources to create submittal and installation documentation required for a given project.

Support troubleshooting of issues in the field at the request of assistance from a Lead Installer.

Provide a detailed material list and account for all job costs associated with projects assigned.

Adjust communications to fit the audience and message, sharing information freely and openly with other stakeholder groups.

Partner with clients’ operations team to deliver the scope and intent of the proposed solution for implementation.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Design Engineering or equivalent professional experience

CTS or ability to achieve within 6 months of employment

Strong aptitude and desire to learn AV design and systems engineering

Strong work ethic, drive, and aptitude may be considered in lieu of a degree for the right candidate

Preferred candidates will be CTS-I or CTS-D certified
