Job Summary
Milbocker & Sons, Inc. is Michigan highway and bridge construction company seeking applicants for a full time Payroll Specialist and Administrative Assistant position. Accurate data entry skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and other Window based applications required. Applicants must have prior experience in payroll processing and office administration. We provide an excellent benefit package including bonus opportunity.
Primary Payroll Duties:
- Collect, verify and enter payroll timesheets in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of all documents related to employment, benefits, and compensation.
- Complete I9 forms for employment verification
- Maintain and update labor law posters required on all jobsites
- Process all garnishments and voluntary deductions
- Document any injuries and report Workers Compensation claims
Accounts Payable and Administrative Duties
- Code and enter invoices
- Verify invoice quantities and unit pricing to purchase orders
- Collect lien waivers from subcontractors
- New vender setup including W9 forms
- Complete MDOT compliance documents
- Assist other office staff as needed
