Required Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of five years of library-related acquisition experience. The incumbent must posses an in-depth knowledge of the library acquisition, acquisition processing, and the fund structure and management in the library service platform, preferably Alma; a comprehensive understanding of the acquisition data and the acquisition analytic functions; descriptive metadata standards including but not limited to RDA, MARC/MARC21, Dewey Decimal, and Library of Congress classification systems; and of electronic resources' scope, variations, and characteristics, including databases, journals, eBooks, and streaming videos. The incumbent must have excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral, written communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The incumbent must have demonstrated ability to work with various software, databases, integrated library system modules, and applications; work effectively with the Library, Administrative Office on invoicing, payment workflow, and other related matters; work effectively with minimal direction both independently and collaboratively with colleagues; and to work well under pressure, work independently, and adjust priorities when necessary. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University.
