Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located in Delaware County (Marple Campus), is looking for a talented and dynamic Digital Learning Coordinator to join our team of diverse higher education professionals who are committed to student success.
The Digital Learning Coordinator will work with faculty, students, and colleagues to provide online student assistance, coaching and motivation to assist students with an effective and efficient online learning experience. The Digital Learning Coordinator will assist with troubleshooting support for the College’s Learning Management System (Canvas). The Coordinator is an essential member of a highly productive Digital Learning Team committed to accountability, fundamentally sound decision-making, and attention to results.
On-Site Position
- Provide consultation to faculty and students regarding the effective use of Starfish (Connect2Success) in online and hybrid courses.

Provide front-line support to online and hybrid students by efficiently using and monitoring early alert flags and warnings.

Responds to online learning inquiries from students and faculty via phone, email, and walk-in respectfully and comprehensively.

Work with various technologies, including, but not limited to, Canvas, Starfish, Zoom, Respondus, H5P, Studio, etc.

Provide administrative/technical support for the Learning Management System (Canvas) and other academic technologies.

Assist with producing and adapting reports with online learning statistics.

Collaborate with colleagues on departmental activities such as rolling-over courses, adding/removing students, or mailing materials as needed.

Provide online and hybrid students with individual and customized solutions that promote good study habits and responsible time management.

Direct students to additional College resources promptly.

Review Starfish (Connect2Success) notifications/flags, and Canvas student logs to increase the effectiveness, efficiency, and utilization of early alert procedures.

Participate regularly in and attend meetings and team activities related to online teaching and learning.

Collaborate with multiple College departments and academic divisions to inform and listen to suggestions about efficiencies and inefficiencies within respective online/hybrid teaching and learning environments.

Remain current through professional development about technology-enhanced learning, student motivation, and assessment strategies.

The successful candidate must be an engaging, effective, innovative, dynamic professional who fosters collaboration. This individual will be able to demonstrate the use of best practice strategies associated with the Learning Management System (Canvas). This individual will demonstrate a spirit of an independent problem-solver and a strong understanding of the College’s mission and goals. The Coordinator will demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, integrity and professionalism when dealing with a wide cross section of the College community. The Coordinator will also have a demonstrated ability to encourage, model, embrace, and incorporate diverse thought and perspective of all individuals of various backgrounds, ideas, and perspectives to foster an all-inclusive environment and drive retention and completion results
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a digital learning environment in a professional setting; a higher education setting is preferred. End-user knowledge of a Learning Management System (LMS), Canvas is preferred. Associate degree and at least one year of experience working with a Learning Management System; a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in online learning is preferred.
