Primary Function:
The third grade teacher is responsible for helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, responsible adults. The classroom teacher: creates and delivers engaging lessons to diverse groups of students at all levels; promotes enthusiasm for learning and for subjects; adheres to curriculum standards; and collects and reports on correct and detailed records of student performance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree
- A valid and current Professional Educators License (PEL)
- Ability to plan and teach appropriate grade level curriculum
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with the school community

- Utilizes effective instructional strategies with students
- Manages the classroom in a positive manner, respecting the dignity of all
- Completes annual goals and seeks professional development opportunities

Physical Demands and Environment
While performing this job the employee will be required to stand, sit, and walk, for long periods of time. Use of technical equipment such as laptop computers, overhead projectors, white boards. They also are required to walk up and down stairs. Some heavy lifting up to 30 pounds may be required.
