Our Design & Construction team is looking for a Project Manager for our campus facilities.
Under the supervision of the Senior Director in Design and Construction, the Project Manager I manages multiple projects with outside agencies and all team collaboration. Other main tasks include managing clinical projects without major MEP infrastructure and handling any research and technical projects.
Job Responsibilities:

Works with contractors and architects to ensure that assigned projects are accomplished with emphasis on time and cost control.

Works with St. Jude management, staff and employees to: Gather information regarding SJCRH s needs relative to renovation projects. Gather correlate and/or disseminate information relative to coordination of construction/remodeling activities with ongoing hospital operations.

Prepares cost estimates for new construction and renovation project as assigned.

Prepares and updates new construction and renovation schedules as directed.

Supervises and coordinates field activities on various projects as assigned.

Monitors progress and quality control of work and reports discrepancies.

Maintains written documentation, through letters or minutes, of all pertinent discussions or discussions given to others.

Researches existing facilities for measurements and/or existing conditions as required to update the facilities as built drawings.

Carries out the assigned duties in the absence of the Project Manager II as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution.

Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
-
High school/GED required.
-
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or related area preferred.
Minimum Experience:
-
Eight (8) years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, or healthcare/scientific-related fields required; three (3) years of experience is acceptable with a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience with scheduling and estimating with computer software programs required.
-
Experience with computer aided drafting (CAD) preferred.
Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Knowledge of building architecture, engineering, and/or construction

Ability to prepare and interpret construction drawings

Knowledge of building codes and regulations

Knowledge and skill with which to schedule and estimate construction-related costs (e.g. material, labor, etc.)

Knowledge, skill, and ability to make decisions and solve problems during regular or emergency/crisis situations

Knowledge, skill, and ability to evaluate and make decisions based on established criteria, policies/procedures, and reports/correspondence

Ability to attend to details and detect errors or omissions in data, calculations, or documents (i.e. contracts)

Skill and ability to analyze data contained in planning/construction reports/records

Skill and ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing

Knowledge and skill to use word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge and skill to use a construction estimating computer software

Knowledge and skill to operate a digital camera (still and video)

Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70,720 - $126,880 per year for the role of Project Manager I - Facility.
