Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tissue Engineer with specialized experience in creating vascular beds to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and fabrication of vascularized tissues that can integrate and function within biological systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative approaches to create and implement vascular beds within bioengineered tissues.
- Utilize advanced techniques such as self assembling, 3D bioprinting, microfluidics, and biomaterials to construct functional vascular networks.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize the integration of vascularized tissues into preclinical models.
- Lead scalability and process development efforts for clinical application.
- Conduct rigorous testing and validation of engineered tissues under laboratory conditions.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences.
- Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the strategic planning of project goals.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Tissue Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years postdoctoral experience, specifically in vascular tissue engineering.
- Proven track record of designing and developing functional vascular beds.
- Experience with 3D bioprinting, stem cell culture, and biomaterials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong project management skills and experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
