Job Summary:
We are seeking an Licensed Insurance Agent/Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the operations manager in overseeing daily business activities, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to the growth of the company. A current Texas property and casualty insurance license is required and experience in an independent insurance agency is preferred. Work will primarily be performed in our administrative office in Gilmer, which is not a storefront.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing day-to-day operations and workflow
- Coordinate with various departments to streamline processes
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to optimize business strategies
- Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries or issues promptly
- Assist in benefits administration and insurance sales processes
- Train new hires and give ongoing support and training to existing employees in the agency
- Audit daily processess, be proactive in identifying areas of concern, work with management to resolve those issues
- Answer calls, service clients, and quote new business when other employees are out or need assistance. May require occasional light travel
Experience:
- Previous experience in operations management, or a related field is preferred
- Texas Property & Casualty license and experience in an insurance agency is required (preferably an independent agent but captive will be considered)
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of benefits administration and insurance sales practices is advantageous
- Ability to market products or services effectively
- A background in management or HR would be beneficial.
