The Direct Support Professional is responsible for direct care and rehabilitative services to single and/or groups of persons served within our facility.

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Reviews persons served information and Person-Centered Plan/Individual Support Plan to understand needs, limitations, strengths, and goals.
- Provides direct supervision of the person(s) served based on the individual’s plan.
- Provides one-on-one training and job coaching
- Assist with coordination of services with other professionals, guardians, family members etc. as allowed by confidentiality guidelines
- Completes documentation on person served progress
- Performs community-based employment checks
- Provides delivery of skill-building activities such as daily and community living skills, socialization, employment
- Provides wellness education and direct interventions
- Implement behavior management plans
- Participates in development of PCP
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. NC Driver’s License. NCI, CPR/AED/First Aid training will be provided.
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience working in the Human Services filed with persons w/barriers to employment and community integration.
- Ability to recognize and use effective instruction methods and resources
- Ability to competently complete required training and execute methods of intervention
- Ability to communicate in oral and written form
- Ability to maintain effective working relations
- Ability to relate positively to persons with disabilities, co-workers and community agencies
- Ability to maintain credentialing documentation as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
