We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure the financial health and efficiency of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors and accountants as required.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial performance to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and optimize resource utilization.
-Oversee and manage the financial aspects of the construction management system. This includes entering Bills/PO’s, tracking job profitability, invoicing, change orders, job closing reports
-Manage and maintain project budgeting and forecasting for multiple construction projects by administering financial policies, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
-Communicate routinely with owners, and management teams on a variety of job-related topics including funding, schedules, contracts, financial forecasts, and payments.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in accounting and financial management, preferably in the construction industry. (5 year minimum)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to contribute to the success of the organization.
