The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to adults struggling with anxiety and trauma using body-based approaches. We encourage candidates to also explore a chosen specialty/niche.
We are looking for the following qualifications and skills:
- Require at least a master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or other related mental health field from an accredited university,
- Require at least an active provisional license (i.e., LPCC, LSW) in the state of CO (preference for fully licensed – i.e., LPC, LCSW).
- Require at least 1-year post-graduate training or experience as a mental health provider,
- Committed to growing as a skilled provider of a somatic psychotherapy modality such as Hakomi, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Body Mind Centering, Dance therapy, NeuroAffective Relational Model, Core Energetics or other body-based healing modalities,
- Dedicated to engaging in ongoing internal and external somatic psychotherapy training,
- Have a working idea of a dedicated niche or specialty such as: nutrition, couples, depression, medical trauma, and/or working with chronic illness. (Here’s what’s important for you to know: We are open to other specialties besides what’s listed above and we want to support what lights you up professionally as well as help you identify what lights you up!),
- Be able to work independently on tasks assigned, such as timely completion of case notes and managing your client-facing schedule,
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Focus on a highly relational in approach,
- Professional focus aligned with STP Mission, Vision and Values.
Job Type & Location
- 2 FT positions available. Available schedules are 1) FT: Monday-Thursday and 2) FT: Tuesday-Friday
- In-person required. -- our office is located at 950 S. Cherry St., Denver, CO 80246
- Full-time clinicians are expected to schedule 24 client hours/week with the expectation of maintaining 20 client hours/week or 80 client hours/month.
- Administrative hours range from 2-5 hours/week depending on caseload, meetings, etc.
- All clinicians are expected to schedule at least 4 evening appointments per week. Evening appointments are identified as starting at 5p or later.
Pay & Benefits
- Clinical rate of $40-$75/hour (depending on licensure, experience, etc.)
- Administrative rate of $25/hour
Benefits for full-time clinicians:
- Paid somatic training for individuals with no prior somatic training,
- Yearly education stipend of $500 (available after one (1) year of employment). Preference may be given to somatic-specific education.

- High quality somatic mentoring and job supervision from experienced somatic providers, including occasional video review of sessions during your first 90-days and weekly meetings while you build your caseload.
- For provisionally licensed individuals – receive in-house clinical supervision from trained supervisors. (Note: we are unable to provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed MFTs.)
- Flexible schedule and option to have a 4-day work week (FT) based on your needs and those of the practice.

Position Duties & Responsibilities
Included below are clinical and administrative duties and responsibilities. This is not an inclusive list, items can be added and removed as necessary.
Clinical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Offer a schedule that supports maintaining a client caseload in line with FT position requirements,
- Provide individual therapy to adult (18+) clients,
- Complete initial phone consults with prospective clients,
- Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
- Run free nervous system education workshop at least once per quarter (workshop runs every 3rd Saturday of the month)
Administrative Duties & Responsibilities:
- Complete all case notes and relevant paperwork in a timely manner.
- Manage caseload and client-facing schedule.
- Keep client files accurate and up to date.
- Cover intake as needed (training provided during on-boarding).
- Participate in professional development activities, such as trainings, job supervision, and mentoring.
- Attend and participate in monthly team meetings.
- Works with clinical and operational leaders and other clinicians on staff to coordinate services.
