Volkswagen of Springfield is looking for a Used Car Sales Manager to join our award-winning team of professionals for our fast-paced Sales Department!
The ideal candidate will possess a high energy level, a positive attitude, strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Used Car Management Experience is a Must.
Proven experience in used car sales management, including account management and team leadership, purchasing, recon, wholesale and sales.
Dealertrack DMS experience preferred.
A valid State Driver’s License and ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check are required for employment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives
- Manage and lead a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and customers
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to maximize profitability
- Provide excellent customer service and support throughout the sales process
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to upper management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to drive sales initiatives
Skillset qualifications:
- Proven experience in used car sales management, including account management and team leadership, purchasing, recon, wholesale and sales.
- Strong knowledge of sales techniques, strategies, and best practices
- Proficiency in using Salesforce or other CRM software to track and manage sales activities
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure profitable deals with clients
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate and inspire a sales team towards achieving targets
- Ability to analyze sales data and generate meaningful insights for decision-making
- Technical sales experience is a plus, particularly in selling complex or technical products
